Mozarts Plads

Mozarts Plads

Mozarts Plads is a central square in Copenhagen, named after the Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The square is a traffic hub with many bus connections and the Copenhagen Metro’s line M4 has a station on the square.

At Mozarts Plads in Sydhavnen, SLA has created a green and inclusive urban space for the district’s residents with long winding benches and a fountain. The area is part of the municipality’s plans for climate protection, and the square is therefore equipped with large rain beds and retention basins, where water will be collected in the event of a cloudburst.

At Mozarts platz, Fokdal Springvand has established a fountain with 7 water jets mounted directly into the paving, which consists of cobblestones. The jets can vary in height and can be turned on and off individually. There are built-in lights in the water jets and additional lights placed in the cobblestones, which glow beautifully in the evening.
