Baptismal font with running water – Højvangen church in Skanderborg

On December 1, 2024, a new church was inaugurated in Skanderborg. Henning Larsen Architects designed the church and specially designed the liturgical furniture such as the pulpit, kneeling area and baptismal font. The baptismal font functions as a fountain with different water functions; calm water, turbulent water and waves. The water flows out and down the baptismal font in 4 ‘flutes’. Fokdal Springvand has supplied the water technology and control, which regulates the water via an iPad.
