Malthe Bruuns Vej Frederiksberg

For Frederiksberg Municipality we have developed and implemented a sound-controlled water barrier. Lindevangsparken at Finsensvej is one of the central areas in Frederiksberg Municipality. On the other side of Finsensvej above Lindevangsparken at Malthe Bruuns Vej, Frederiksberg Municipality’s Road and Park Department has developed a smaller area where they wanted a screen to Finsensvej.

It turned into a sound-controlled water hedge with 13 foam nozzles that rise in step with increasing (traffic) noise in the area. Beams can vary in height from 30 cm to 1.3 m. The foam beams are illuminated from below.

We have conducted tests, designed and built the water hedge. In total, approximately 40 m3/h of water flows around the perimeter of the fence per hour, which is cleaned with each pass. The water used is recycled water and rainwater.

The fountain has received financial support from the R98 Foundation.
